What is the difference between Country of Residence and Country of Citizenship

The country of Residence is the country where you have claimed residence for tax purposes prior to coming to the US. Each country has a different legislation on how the residence for tax purposes is being determined.

The country of Citizenship is where you were born. 

It is important to ensure that you answer these questions correctly, as this is important for determining tax treaty eligibility.
