You will have to report where you have been during the tax year from 1st of January until 31st of December only. After you add an exit date new row will pop up and if you have been outside the country there will be "Outside US" option as well.
Remember that all the visits populated on Step 6 depend on what you've already reported on Step 1 - Residency status.
