The system doesn’t let me select ‘No’ for permanent place of abode?

Please note that Sprintax can preselect the answer for this question based on the details provided in the Living in the US sub-step and the regulations of the state tax office. If you have lived in the certain state for any part of the tax year, you will most likely have ‘Permanent place of abode’ there.

Usually, if you rented an apartment, it is when you are considered to have a permanent place of abode.
