I switched from F-1 to H1B

Switching from a student visa to working visa is a common case for many of our customers. You can follow the instructions below if you did change your visa type:

- You need to list two visits - one under F-1 and one under H1B;
- The F-1's "US Leave Date" must be 09/30 even if you have not actually left the US.
- The H1B's "US Entry Date" must be 10/01 or the 'start date' listed on your I-797A Notice. There's no issue here if the visa itself is yet to be stamped. The "US Leave Date" can be the end date listed on the same Approval Notice

Please do not forget that Step 1 Residency - Residency status does not only require you to list ALL your visits in the US (longer than 24h and non-transit visits) but also every single visa change you had (renewing your visa though is NOT a visa change).
