How to receive Federal/State refund?

You have a few options on how to proceed with the refund you are eligible for: 

- Transfer to US bank account - It must be your own bank account and it must be available for the next 12 months at least; 

- Receive check by mail - Please make sure that your mailing address is correct (it is the address you have entered on Step 2 Getting to know you - Your address);

- Credit towards the next year's tax - If you cannot use any of the options above or your refund is too small, you can leave it as a credit toward the next year's refund (if you have such). In case you owe next year, the refund amount from the previous year will be used to lower the amount due.
