I received a letter from the IRS saying that my tax return is incorrect – what should I do?

The letter from the IRS will provide information about what they believe to be incorrect. You should review the IRS letter and compare the issue(s) identified in the letter with the tax return completed in your Sprintax account.

Do not hesitate to contact the Sprintax team at info@sprintax.com if you want us to review the letter. In many cases, the tax office needs additional clarification in order to process your return as filed so it may not necessarily mean that the return you filed was incorrect – Sprintax will assist you in getting the issue sorted.

Keep in mind that you would need to have purchased our Insurance (Post-Filing Service), in order for us to legally be able to assist you and if needed, to contact the tax office on your behalf. You can find more information about our Post-Filing Service here - https://sprintaxhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/8339366871069-Post-Filing-Support
